Brochure of the event "Korat New Year 2010 Celebration "

This is the event brochure sent to us at home. I believe every house in the area of Nakhon Ratchasima City Municipality might get the same brochure. The city seems to work so hard this year to promote the event.

Wat Bung Temple

Wat Bung Temple located just another side of Bung Ta Lua Water Park from Bung Ta Lua Community. As there're many horses in the area, the grooms walk their horses pass through the temple is a normal scene there. And the horse racetrack is not far from the temple.

วัดบุ่ง ตั้งอยู่ใกล้ๆแหล่งน้ำบุ่งตาหลัวตอนล่าง และชุมชนใกล้เคียง คือชุมชนบุ่งตาหลัว ชาวบ้านส่วนใหญ่มีอาชีพเลี้ยงม้า เนื่องจากสนามแข่งม้าอยู่ไม่ไกล ตอนเช้าๆเรามักจะเห็นคนเลี้ยงม้าพาม้าเดินผ่านวัด หรือบริเวณโดยรอบเสมอๆ แม้จะมีผู้คนสัญจรผ่านไป-มา แต่บริเวณภายในวัดบุ่งนั้นยังดูสงบเงียบมาก

Chang Phurk Road

Chang Phurk Road or Thanon Chang Phurk called by locals. The road runs pass Maharat Hospital, V-One Hotel and Pegasas tower. The traffic and road scene look peaceful during the day but turn into a busy and lively road at night as there're so many "place to eat" along the road.

Front of V-One Hotel and opposite is Gai Yang Nai Muang Restaurant, it's quite a nice Thai restaurant.

A Meeting at Wing 1 Air Force Base

Wing 1 Air Force Base hosted the nicely morning meeting on 24 Dec 2009. They arranged it in the area of Wing 1 Airport. There were many significant people in Korat attending such as The Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, 2nd Army Area Commander, The Chairman of Nakhon Ratchasima Chamber of Commerce, The Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima City Municipality, senior military officers, local government officials in Korat, SUT Campus, business people, such as from the Mall group etc

The city decoration for New Year 2010 Celebration

Photos taken in Korat downtown before the time of new year 2010 celebration. The city has "snow dome" for people who want to feel of being in snowland. In the night time, I believe it will be much more beautiful with light decorated all around the area.
