Flowers bloom in Korat City
Pictures taken in Korat downtown (February 2010) The flower in the city normally in full bloom after the coolest months of December and January. A little bit disappoint for this year that the weather is rather hot and the bloom doesn't appear to be beautiful as it used to be..

The celebration of Chinese New Year 2010 in Korat City took place at Lan Ya Mo or the plaza area around the Monument of Thao Suranaree during 13-14 Febuary 2010.

Korat City during Chinese New Year 2010
Pictures taken in central of Korat city during the celebration time of Chinese New Year 2010. Every year during this time, the city is very colorful, many places were decorated with many Chinese lanterns. Even though I'm not Chinese but I always enjoy the wonderful decorations in the city, so bright!

Spend the day with family at Korat Zoo
Korat Zoo is another great place in Korat for family spending the day together. I always have a good time visiting Korat Zoo. This time we got to the zoo in the afternoon, it's much more relaxing than every time that we made it in the morning, less crowded.
Korat Zoo or Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo is one of the major zoo in Thailand and one of the most modern in Asia. It's 20 km from downtown, take Highway No. 304 (Nakhon Ratchasima-Pak Thong Chai) and do the left turn onto Highway No. 2310 for 1 Km, the zoo will be on the left. From my last visit, the entrance fee for adult is 70B and for a car is 50B.
We took a tour by tourist train (trailer), very nice and fun for kids. The ticket price is 20B for one round. The zoo has nice area, landscaped each sections. Everyone was very enjoyable. There's also a bike and golf car for rent but taking the trip by train, you will have a guide tour. The zoo also has a big water park, souvenir shop, food center, coffee place. The animals we saw that day such as African elephants, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes,....
