Wat Pra Narai in Korat downtown

Wat Pra Narai or Pra Narai Temple, the monastery houses a Khmer sandstone statue of Vishnu, the Hindu god. This statue is highly revered by locals and is considered the Provinces most sacred object (TAT). The Bot of the temple was built in the middle of a big pond surrounded only by water. In the Bot there is a Buddha image in Subduing Mara (evil) posture from the Ayutthaya period. The temple is located in Korat downtown on Prachak Road. The temple has 2 entrances, one on Prachak Road and another one on Chomphon Road. The area of Wat Pra Narai is shady. There's a lot of cars parking in the area while I was there and a lot of temple dogs :-)

Candle Festival 2010 in Korat

Korat City organized the grand festival in town, The Candle Festival 2010. There's a bit of rain by the day of candle parade. I've got a few picturse of the giant candle wax sculpture from Wat Nong Bua Rong Temple exhibit along Ratchadamnoen road.

Adenium Contest in Korat

Adenium Contest is an acitivity in SUT 20th Anniversary in 2010. The contest held in July 24, 2010. I quite enjoyed walking around the fountain, looking at different shape of Adenium Tree.

SUT Campus celebrate the 20th Anniversary in 2010

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT)celebrate the 20th Anniversary. There're many activites during 23-31 July 2010 ; Science Exhibition, Agricultural Exhibiton & Agricultural Fair 2010, Plant contest, dog contest, Motor Show, Sports etc. I took a tour in the first day, quite a hot afternoon!

It's quite a wide area from CP, exhibition inside and CP product sale outside.
