On the 23rd of October every year is Chulalongkorn Day or generally called Piyamaharaj Day held to commemorate the death of King Chulalongkorn the Great (Rama V) who passed away in 1910.
In Korat City, the ceremony held in the morning at Chulalongkorn Statue, situated front of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Hall. Nakhon Ratchasima Governer, local government officials, and Korat people were invited to lay a wreath at the foot of the statue.
