Agricultural Exhibition in Korat

This is one of many events in town at the moment to honor of The King Bhumipol and to celebrate The King's Birthday coming on the 5th of December. This Agricultural exhibition held from 1st to 2nd of December 2011 at The Learning Centre of King Bhumipol 's Philosophy of Economic Sufficiency, Northeastern Region. The place just located next to Bung Ta Lua Park.

Korat Loi Krathong 2011 @ Nong Kae Chang Lake

This is the general atmosphere of Loi Krathong festival in Korat @ Nong Kae Chang Lake where close to Wat Pa Salawan Temple. You can see the beautiful Chedi in the background and the beautiful big Krathong "Krathong Thama Nava" front for the Chedi. The festival here this year was very simple, mainly local came for floating their Krathong in the lake .. calm and beautiful...

ลอยกระทงโคราช 2554 ปีนี้ไปไม่ใกล้ไม่ไกลที่หนองแก้ช้างนี้เอง ... หนองแก้ช้างเป็นหนองน้ำเล็กๆ ใกล้วัดป่าสาลวัน มีกระทงธรรมนาวาตั้งอยู่ด้านหน้าบูรพาจารย์เจดีย์ที่สวยงามด้วยแสงไฟในค่ำคืนลอยกระทง บรรยากาศปีนี้เรียบๆง่ายๆ บรรยากาศครอบครัว คนในละแวกนั้นต่างจูงลูกหลานมาลอยกระทง ความสงบเงียบ แสงไฟประดับประดาบางตาเมื่อเทียบกับปีก่อนๆ ทำให้ได้บรรยากาศของการระลึกถึง การเคารพและขอขมาต่อสายน้ำ หลายๆคนลอยกระทง และนั่งดูกระทงตัวเองลอยไปอย่างสงบจนแสงเทียนภายในกระทงดับลง...

Chulalongkorn Day 2011 in Korat

On the 23rd of October every year is Chulalongkorn Day or generally called Piyamaharaj Day held to commemorate the death of King Chulalongkorn the Great (Rama V) who passed away in 1910.

In Korat City, the ceremony held in the morning at Chulalongkorn Statue, situated front of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Hall. Nakhon Ratchasima Governer, local government officials, and Korat people were invited to lay a wreath at the foot of the statue.

Mahidol Day 2011 in Korat

 On 24 September every years is Mahidol Day, the day to commemorates the death of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkhla, the current King's father. He is regarded as the father of modern medicine and public health in Thailand. His vision, ceaseless dedication and achievements have inspired many to search for better and healthier lives. In Korat there's a ceremony to commemorate his kindness, Korat Governor along with local officials, doctors, nurses and medical students took part the ceremony to lay a wreath at His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkhla statue in Maharat Hospital.



The morning of Queen's Birthday & Mother's Day 2011 in Korat

Today (12 August) is Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's Birthday and also National Mother's Day. In the morning at Thao Suranaree Monument, Korat locals were cerebrating Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 79th Birthday. People had gathered since early morning. There's a religious ceremony and offering food to monks. All we did to make merit for H.M. The Queen.

Charity Cycling in Korat

The event took place in the morning of August 7,2011 at Thao Suranaree Monument, central of Korat downtown. Around 500 cyclists participated in the event. Not only professional cyclists there, casual cyclists, family with kids,... A happy day, everyone enjoyed it.
