Nakhon Ratchasima Municipal Court

Building of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipal Court, located on Ratchanikul Street outside the City Moat, near to Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Court and Chira Railway Station. Nakhon Ratchasima Municipal Court established in 1957. At the beginning, the court located next to Korat City Hall in a small building, later in 1991 the court moved into the same building of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Court. The court have moved to the present location since 1993.

ศาลแขวงนครราชสีมา

จัดตั้งขึ้นตามพระราชบัญญัติจัดตั้ง ศาลแขวงและวิธีพิจารณาความอาญาในศาลแขวง พ.ศ. 2499 โดยเปิดทำการตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มิถุนายน 2500 อาคารที่ทำการแห่งแรกเป็นตึกขนาดเล็ก ตั้งอยู่ใกล้เคียงกับศาลากลางจังหวัด นครราชสีมา ต่อมาเมื่อวันที่ 14มีนาคม 2511 ได้ย้ายมาเปิดทำการรวมอยู่ในอาคารเดียวกันกับศาลจังหวัดนครราชสีมา จนกระทั่ง พ.ศ. 2534 จึงได้ดำเนินการก่อสร้างอาคารศาลแยกต่างหาก เนื่องจากปริมาณงานเพิ่มมากขึ้น และที่ทำการเดิมแออัดคับแคบ หลังจากก่อสร้างอาคารแล้วเสร็จเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2536 ศาลแขวงนครราชสีมาได้ย้ายมาเปิดทำการในอาคารหลังปัจจุบัน และสมเด็จพระบรมโอรสาธิราช ฯ สยามมกุฎราชกุมารเสด็จพระราชดำเนินมาทรงประกอบพิธีวางศิลาฤกษ์และเปิดอาคารที่ทำการศาลแขวงนครราชสีมาเมื่อวันที่ 27 เมษายน 2538

Mukkamontri Street

Mukkamontri street is one of many very old streets in Korat City, It's a main street link central of the city with western part of the city. The beginning of the street starts from 5-ways intersection down pass Nakhon Ratchasima Railway Station, Nong Chabok Temple, Amphawan Temple, Sima Thani Hotel, Suan Priktai Temple, Lak Roi Temple, The highway no2 (By-Pass) , end at Ban Phu Khao Lad.

All these photos taken at Mukkamontri street around the area of Sawai Reang community where has a lot residences of Likay Group. You can notice, some has colorful advertised sign in front of old wooden 2 stroey building.

The last 2 photos taken on the small street (soi) off from Mukkamontri, the small street is Soi Sawai Reang. It's also a short-cut to Tesco.

ถนนมุขมนตรีเป็นถนนสายหลักแนวตะวันตก-ตะวันออก ตัดผ่านเขตชุมชนที่มีความหนาแน่นในเขตเทศบาลนครนครราชสีมา แต่ถนนปัจจุบันบางช่วงยังมีแค่สองช่องทาง ปริมาณการจราจรค่อนข้างหนาแน่นในชั่วโมงเร่งด่วน ชุมชนแก่าแก่ในย่านนี้ ได้แก่ ช่วงชุมชนสวายเรียง ในตรอกสวายเรียง เป็นย่านศูนย์รวมคณะลิเก ขับรถผ่านไปจะเป็นตึกแถวไม้เก่าๆ แนวยาว เป็นที่พำนักของคณะลิเกหลายคณะ เนื่องจากคนโคราช ชอบฟังเพลงโคราช และ ดูลิเก เป็นหลัก ไม่นิยมฟังเพลงหมอลำ หรือ คณะหมอลำเหมือนชาวไทอีสานทั่วไป

Historical Site in Sung Noen District

Sung Noen is only 35 kms from Korat City. It's worth a day trip from Korat City even you are not into history, go and get some fresh air and enjoy nice country-side.

Sung Noen is a hidden place, there is some small historical sites influenced by Khmer culture, scattered throughout the district, particularly in Tumbon Sema and Tumbon Korat.

We have been first to Tumbon Sema, the historical sites are in the area of Wat Thammachak Semaram Temple. IT's about 4 kms from central of Sung Noen.

The Large Reclining Sandstone Buddha image or local call Phra Non, it’s the most ancient and largest a Reclining Buddha image that made from red sand stone.

The image was built around 1200 B.E. The length of the Buddha is approximately 13.30 metres. The image is located in Thammachak Semaram Temple, part of Muang Sema Historical Site.

Within the area, there are more various other evidences of archaeology such as bronze Buddha images, Buddha terracotta printing images, glass beads and inscribing stone.

After visit Tumbon Sema, we drove to Tumbon Korat(or Korat sub-district) where's not far.

Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Court

Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Court, at present, located next to Nakhon Ratchasima Municipal Court on Ratchanikul road, outside the City Moat.

Provincial Courts exercise unlimited original jurisdiction in all general civil and criminal matters within their own districts which are generally the provinces themselves. For the purpose of expansion of services of the court to the distance area, some provinces may have more than one Provincial Court. For example, in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, there are three Provincial Courts, i.e., Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Court, Sekew Provincial Court and Buayai Provincial Court. Where a case within the jurisdiction of Kwaeng Court brought to the Provincial Court, the latter has to transfer the case to the former. Each Provincial Court has a Chief Judge who is the head and responsible for the judicial work of the court. The Director of the Office of such Provincial Court (Registrar) under the supervision of the Chief Judge is responsible for administrative work of the court .
