สถานีรถไฟชุมทางจิระเป็นสถานีรถไฟที่ตั้งอยู่ในเมืองโคราช ใครนั่งรถไฟมาเมืองโคราช ลงที่สถานีจิระ สามารถเดินมาถึงกลางใจเมือง บริเวณอนุสาวรีย์ท้าวสุรนารี ได้เลย ใช้เวลาประมาณ 10 นาที หากไม่อยากเดินก็มีบริการรถสามล้อรอผู้โดยสารอยู่หน้าบริเวณสถานี หรือสามารถเดินออกมาจากหน้าสถานีประมาณ 100 เมตร แล้วรอรถสองแถวเข้าเมือง (สาย 7 รถสีฟ้า) ที่บริเวณถนนราชนิกูลริมคูเมือง
