There are people of various ethnic backgrounds living in Nakhon Ratchasima but Thai Korat people are the largest group of people with Korat culture. There is no evidence where these people originate from. They also live in other provinces including Buri Ram, Chaiyaphum, and parts of Lop Buri Province. These people are sometimes called Thai Berng. Thai Korat People lead a simple life like other people in the rural areas. They have their own culture and the most unique characteristic is that they speak the Korat dialect.
